#3446 Metabolomic profile of extra-pancreatic NET: A novel prognostic tool?

Introduction: Reprogrammed metabolism is one of the key hallmarks of cancer. Thus, metabolic profiling of cancer patients represents a promising tool. To date, metabolomics remains largely unexplored in NETs.

Keywords: NET, metabolic signaling, molecular pathways, plasma metabolites, prognostic biomarker,

#3430 Comprehensive transcriptomic and methylomic analysis of NENs from multiple origins show subgroups of patients with clinical relevance

Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are a heterogeneous group of tumors with a wide anatomical distribution that share common neuro and endocrine properties. Although some studies have assessed the NET molecular landscape of certain primary sites, none of them have evaluated cross-sites molecular studies.

#3275 MicroRNA prognostic signature in neuroendocrine neoplasias (NENs) of lung and GEP origin: In silico analysis of target genes and pathways

Introduction: Molecular knowledge of NENs has increased in the last years. Nevertheless, the lack of in vivo models makes it difficult to guide functional experiments to better understand the biological implications of described molecular alterations. In this context, and as miRNAs contribute to regulate gene expression, we performed an in silico analysis to explore target genes and involved pathways regulated by an 8-miRNA prognostic signature that we recently developed in NENs, that stratified patients in 3 prognostic groups (Espinosa-Olarte P et al, ESMO 2020).

#3271 Comprehensive metabolomic plasma profiling identifies novel potential diagnostic biomarkers in patients with advanced neuroendocrine tumors

Introduction: NETs are heterogeneous neoplasms that have the capacity to secrete hormones or bioactive molecules. Dysregulated metabolism is one of the key hallmarks of cancer and the altered expression of metabolic enzymes is deeply involved in tumor development, progression, and metastasis.
