#4410 NETest can predict the tumour burden in neuroendocrine tumours
Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) are rare malignancies characterised by slow growth and a lack of reliable biomarkers for predicting tumour burden, treatment response, and prognosis.

Presenting Author:
Introduction: Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) for treating somatostatin receptor (SSTR)-positive tumors may be associated with nephrotoxicity.

Authors: Hasenauer N, Hartrampf P, Weich A, Higuchi T, Schirbel A,
Keywords: sstr, theragnostics, prrt, renal, nephrotoxicity,
Introduction: Current blood-based biomarkers for neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) lack both sensitivity and specificity. Human circulating progastrin (hPG80) is a novel biomarker for NETs and is easily measured in plasma using an ELISA test.
Conference: 18th Annual ENETS Concerence (2021)

Keywords: neuroendocrine tumor, progastrin, hPG80, blood-based biomarker,
Introduction: Recently, tumor-derived molecular alterations were detected in cell-free DNA (cfDNA) from gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasm (GEP-NEN) patients. In-depth evaluation of the biomarker potential of cfDNA is warranted, as better blood-based biomarkers are needed for GEP-NENs.

Introduction: There is currently no effective blood biomarker for lung neuroendocrine neoplasia diagnosis and management.
