Bone health in neuroendocrine neoplasms
Introduction:
Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are a heterogeneous group of rare neoplasms, classified according to localization of the primary tumor, differentiation and grading. The effect of localized or advanced NENs and systemic therapies on bone and muscle health is still controversial.

Bone loss and whole-body composition in patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms
Introduction:
Patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP-NENs) are at increased risk for osteoporosis, but data on muscle and fat mass are scarce.

Vitamin D, Bone Mineral Density and Fracture Risk Assessment in Patients with Neuroendocrine Tumors
Introduction:
Some papers have recently described an association between neuroendrocrine tumors (NET) and both vitamin D deficiency (VDD) and low bone mineral density (BMD). The ten-year risk of osteoporotic fractures can be calculated with the FRAX algorithm.

Evaluation of the Association Between Serotonin and Bone Mineral Density in Patients with Neuroendocrine Tumors
Introduction:
Bone mineral density (BMD) and fractures are influenced by diet, activity, drugs and hormones. Recent studies highlight an inverse relationship between serotonin and BMD.
