#4567 Malignant pheochromocytoma with late distant metastases and secondary hypercalcaemia

Introduction: Pheochromocytoma is a rare neuroendocrine tumour of the adrenal medulla. Malignant variants occur with a very low frequency and can be diagnosed only after the spread of distant metastasis.

Keywords: neuroendocrine, malignant pheochromocytoma, metastasis, hypercalcaemia,

#4541 Prognosis analysis of metastatic rectal neuroendocrine tumour: Liver-directed trans arterial embolisation may play a pivotal role

Introduction: Rectal neuroendocrine tumour (rNET) is prone to metastasis, and distant metastasis is associated with worse prognosis. However, factors influencing the prognosis of metastatic rNET and the recommended treatments remain controversial.

Conference:

Authors: Yang Y, Chen L, Liu M, Jiang Y, Lin Y,

Keywords: metastatic rectal neuroendocrine tumour, liver metastasis, trans arterial embolisation, inverse probability of treatment weighting, overall survival,

#4280 Predictive and prognostic nomogram models for liver metastasis in colorectal neuroendocrine neoplasms: A large population study

Introduction: The incidence of patients with colorectal neuroendocrine neoplasms (CRNENs) is continuously increasing. Most patients have distant metastases when diagnosed. Liver metastasis (LM) is the most common type of distant metastasis, and the prognosis is poor once LM occurs. However, there is still a lack of effective models for predicting the risk and prognosis of LM in CRNENs.

#3632 Medullary thyroid carcinoma and somatostatin analogues, a possible therapeutic choice in asymptomatic and slow radiological progression metastatic recurrent disease after surgery – Case report of a 22-years long term survival patient

Introduction: Medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) is a well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumor of the thyroid and accounts for 1%-2% of thyroid cancers in the United States. MTCs present with locoregional metastasis in 50% of patients and distant metastasis in 10%-15% at diagnosis. Treatment options for recurrent or progressive disease according to RECIST 1.1 criteria, are limited. Tyrosine kinase-inhibitors (TKI) are preferred as first-line systemic therapy. Although somatostatin analogues (SSA) may play a role in MTC, limited evidence is available.
