#4365 Cisplatin and etoposide as first-line chemotherapy for poorly differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma of the stomach: A case report

Introduction: Gastric neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) are rare neoplasms that arise from enterochromaffin cells of the gastric mucosa. Neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) of the stomach represent a rare and rapidly growing type of gastric tumour. They are considered a distinct entity from neuroendocrine tumours characterised by aggressive behaviour and a high rate of metastasis.

Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are a group of heterogeneous and rare malignant tumors originating from peptidergic neurons and neuroendocrine cells. Gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma (G-NEC) belongs to type 4, which is highly malignant and has an extremely poor prognosis.

Introduction: Gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma(G-NEC) is a highly malignant and rare tumor, and most early-stage patients are asymptomatic. Most of the patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage, have distant metastasis, lost the best chance of surgery, and have a high mortality rate.

#3302 Analysis of clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis 232 cases of gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma

Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) are a group of heterogeneous and rare malignant tumors originating from peptidergic neurons and neuroendocrine cells. According to the US SEER data report, the incidence of NENs increased from 1.09 per 100,000 in 1973 to 6.98 per 100,000 in 2012, especially gastric neuroendocrine tumors (G-NEN) have increased 15-fold in recent decades and reached 4.85/1,000,000 in 2014.
