Introduction: Health-related quality of life (HRQL) and supportive care needs (SCN) of patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (GEP-NET) remain understudied. Assessing and identifying the affected domains of HRQL and SCN of the patients with GEP-NET is part of the nursing practice and may contribute to adapt the nursing care.

#3552 Fatigue and quality of life in patients with neuroendocrine neoplasia

Introduction: Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (NEN) are rare tumors and health related quality of life (HRQoL) may be modulated by the disease and the accompanying carcinoid syndrome seen especially in small intestinal NENs. Further, cancer related fatigue is one of the most common side effects of cancer and its treatments and may persist for years after treatment completion.

Introduction: Health related quality of life (HRQoL) is increasingly important as a concept reflecting the patients’ perspective in conjunction with the disease presentation severity and treatment. Understanding the impact of treatment on neuroendocrine tumour (NET) patients’ HRQoL is paramount given the nature of the disease.
