Introduction: Diffuse idiopathic pulmonary neuroendocrine cell hyperplasia (DIPNECH) often presents with symptoms of cough and dyspnoea. DIPNECH remains understudied, and response to somatostatin analogues (SSAs) has been reported in a few small series.

Introduction: Neuroendocrine Hyperplasia of Infancy (NEHI) is a rare disease that belongs to the group of interstitial lung disease in children; characterised by hypoxemia, tachypnoea, and respiratory distress, often misdiagnosed as reactive airway disease or bronchiolitis. The diagnosis relies on histologic evaluation. We describe the clinical presentation and paraclinical characteristics of paediatric patients with NEHI.

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) are a diverse group of neoplasms arising from neuroendocrine cells. Within this group, lung neuroendocrine tumours (LungNETs) represent one of the most frequent subtypes of NETs. LungNETs are classified by grade, according to their proliferative index and aggressiveness. Among them, typical carcinoids (G1) and atypical carcinoids (G2) are the lowest grade subtypes. While these tumours are less aggressive, they remain underexplored compared to higher-grade subtypes, highlighting the need for molecular studies to improve clinical approaches. In this context, previous studies have shown that abnormalities in the splicing machinery are frequent in tumour pathologies and also occur in LungNETs.

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) are a heterogeneous group of malignant neoplasms originating from neuroendocrine cells, commonly found in the digestive system, lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Due to their diverse clinical presentations and overlap with common diseases, the early diagnosis of NETs is challenging, often leading to misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis at advanced stages.

Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours are a heterogeneous group of tumours originating from peptidergic neurons and neuroendocrine cells with variable survival outcomes. Surgical resection is the mainstay of treatment. However, there is an ambiguous insight into the real need to execute the standard surgery in small pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours. The tumour border is a powerful determinant of survival prognosis in many tumours and is often used as a safety guarantee for parenchyma-sparing resections. However, there are no studies evaluating tumour border with or without preoperative imaging in pNETs.
