#3320 TGF-β increase caspase activation and migration in typical bronchial carcinoids
Introduction: Typical bronchial carcinoids (TBC) are well-differentiated neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) whose management can still be very challenging due to reduced sensitivity to therapy. Previous studies have reported TGF-β’s ability to activate mTOR pathway and induce epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT). Moreover, preliminary results show an overexpression of TGF-β signalling and caspase activation in TBC.

#3076 Endometrial Small Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma: Case Report and Literature Review
Introduction: Endometrial small-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (ESCNEC) is extremely rare. It is characterized by early regional and systemic spread leading to rapid development of lymph nodes, pelvic and extrapelvic metastasis and compromising the outcome.

Introduction: Rb and p53 status may help distinguishing well from poorly differentiated neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) and may predict response to chemotherapy. Studies correlating Rb/p53 genetic and immunohistochemistry were performed on high-quality frozen samples with high throughput techniques efficient for copy number determination. This situation differs from routine practice in which small deletions may be hard to detect on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples with a gene panel approach.

#3071 Hormonal Ectopic Secretion Syndromes Associated to Neuroendocine Neoplasia
Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasias (NEN) are able to produce and secrete bioactive peptides and cause distinct syndromes related to their biological effects. The outcome will depend on the oncological disease as well as the hormonal syndrome

Introduction: Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (GEP NET) can adversely affect nutritional status. Cross-sectional studies report up to 25% of GEP NET patients are malnourished and dietary change may be prevalent. Nevertheless, clinical guidelines lack advice on nutrition management.
