Distinct clinico-pathological features of neuroendocrine liver metastases originating from the pancreas and rectum
#3683
Introduction: The treatment response and prognosis still remain poor in the metastatic neuroendocrine neoplasms.
Aim(s): To plan for the best multimodal approach and optimize the outcome of neuroendocrine neoplasms, we aimed to analyse oncological and clinico-pathological features of neuroendocrine liver metastases, especially those originating in the pancreas (PNELM) and rectum (RNELM), two major sites of origin in the Japanese populations.
Materials and methods: The clinico-pathological factors of NELM cases originated from the pancreas and rectum were retrospectively analysed for types of NELM patterns, volume of hepatic metastasis, multimodal treatment types, survival outcome.
