#4011 Differences in the microRNA expression of G1 and G2 pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors
Introduction: Targeted testing of microRNAs implicated in the biology of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNET) was performed via RT-QPCR to uncover differentially expressed microRNAs that could be used as diagnostic markers characteristic for tumor grade.

Introduction: Tumorlets and DIPNECH are rare entities often associated with bronchial neuroendocrine tumors and little is known regarding their clinical course and management. However, they are not uncommon findings on CT or MR imaging of patients with known bronchial NENs.

Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (pNENs) are classified as carcinomas (pNECs), and tumors (pNETs). Their handling is challenging and understanding their carcinogenesis process including genetic-epigenetic relations is crucial for their clinical management.

Introduction: Histology-based grading of pulmonary carcinoids (PC) is problematic and subject to high interobserver variation. Orthopedia homeobox (OTP) has shown to be an excellent prognostic marker for PCs, also indicated by the WHO. However, absence of a reliable routinely applicable monoclonal OTP antibody (mAb) hampers implementation in routine diagnostics.

Introduction: Pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma are neural crest-derived tumors originating from chromaffin cells, with the former being intra–adrenal in location, while the latter are extra-adrenal.
