#4201 Prospective analysis of the risk of post-surgical recurrence in lung typical carcinoid
Introduction: In localized/locally advanced forms of NET, radical surgical resection represents the standard of care.

#3877 Short fasting test as a reliable and effective tool to diagnose insulinoma
Introduction: Insulinomas are pancreatic NETs presenting with hypoglycaemia. Current guidelines for its diagnosis require a prolonged fasting test (72 hours), which implies hospitalization and is difficult to perform. It has been reported that up to 85% of insulinomas are diagnosed within a 24h fasting period.

Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (PanNENs), are a form of neoplasms arising from cells of the endocrine and nervous systems. Grading (G) is one of the most important decisional factor for therapy as is associated with prognosis, overall survival and disease free survival decrease. Endoscopic ultrasound fine needle-aspiration/biopsy (EUS-FNA/B) is the gold standard for diagnosing PanNENs and Ki67 evaluation, but data regarding accuracy and concordance with post-surgical histological examination are scanty and heterogeneous.

Introduction: Second-line treatment for neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) have been investigated in prospective trials, with only few prospective trials ongoing. Therefore, there is no consensus on the second-line regimen to use in patients with progressive NEC. These patients have generally a poor performance status (PS) and the tolerance to combination therapy is low. Metronomic temozolomide showed, in retrospective trials, a good safety and efficacy profile.
