#3613 Plasma-derived small extracellular vesicles reveal pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors
Introduction: The incidence of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNETs) has increased over the past 30 years worldwide. The survival rate is low due to the diagnosis being done at a higher stage and unavailability of specific and sensitive diagnostic markers. Hence, better and efficient early diagnostic biomarkers are required at the earliest. As the role of small extracellular vesicles (sEV) in tumor growth and cancer metastasis is increasing exponentially due to its capability to cause metastasis and proliferation. For the first time, this study establishes the relationship between sEV concentration and PNET grades as well as the presence of BIRC2/cIAP as sEV cargo derived from plasma.

#3254 COVID-19 in patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NETs): The Mayo Clinic experience
Introduction: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been associated with increased morbidity and mortality in cancer patients. NETs are rare and there is paucity of data about COVID-19 outcomes.

Introduction: Carcinoid syndrome and Cushing syndrome are rare in non-metastatic lung NETs. In patients with small bowel NETs, carcinoid syndrome is usually associated with metastatic disease. In lung NETs, biologically active substances may be released directly into systemic circulation without inactivation in the liver or lungs.
