Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (PanNETs) are the leading cause of death in patients (pts) with MEN1. Screening is recommended to diagnose early and prevent metastases. The optimal cut-off of when to intervene in a PanNET is still an area of debate.

#4567 Malignant pheochromocytoma with late distant metastases and secondary hypercalcaemia
Introduction: Pheochromocytoma is a rare neuroendocrine tumour of the adrenal medulla. Malignant variants occur with a very low frequency and can be diagnosed only after the spread of distant metastasis.

Introduction: The incidence of patients with colorectal neuroendocrine neoplasms (CRNENs) is continuously increasing. Most patients have distant metastases when diagnosed. Liver metastasis (LM) is the most common type of distant metastasis, and the prognosis is poor once LM occurs. However, there is still a lack of effective models for predicting the risk and prognosis of LM in CRNENs.

#4036 Metformin inhibits small intestinal neuroendocrine tumor proliferation in vivo
Introduction: Small intestinal neuroendocrine tumors (SI-NETs) are rare and slow-growing, with most patients being diagnosed at a late stage with distant metastases. Metformin has been hypothesized as a potential anti-tumor agent by several studies in the past few years. This has been further confirmed by experimental studies in which metformin has inhibited cancer cell growth in different cancers, and we recently demonstrated that metformin treatment repressed the cell viability of SI-NET cells and inhibited the proliferation of cell spheroids.
