#4136 Peptide receptor radionuclide treatment in an outpatient setting – A single center experience

Introduction: Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) is an important treatment option for somatostatin receptor expressing non-resectable neuroendocrine tumors. Traditionally, this therapy has been provided as inpatient care. PRRT has been offered by Oslo University Hospital from November 2019, and organized mainly as outpatient care.

#3981 Identifying patients with undiagnosed small intestinal neuroendocrine tumors using statistical and machine learning: Model development and validation study

Introduction: Diagnosis of small intestinal neuroendocrine tumors (SI-NETs) is often delayed due to non-specific symptoms and lack of awareness among primary and secondary care physicians. Earlier diagnosis may lead to improved clinical and patient outcomes. Clinical prediction models using machine learning could present novel opportunities for expedited diagnosis in primary care.

#3839 The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on neuroendocrine tumor (NET) service recovery and patient perceptions in Sheffield NET Centre UK – A quantitative and qualitative analysis 2017-2021

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the delivery of NET services and patient care. To assess the evolution of NET services during and peri-pandemic, we retrospectively analysed NET services and patient perceptions between 2017-2021.

#3517 The role of the NET clinical nurse specialist in managing carcinoid heart disease patients: Optimising patient care

Introduction: The diagnosis of carcinoid heart disease (CHD) is often made late and requires a highly experienced team to manage multiple issues, such as heart failure, carcinoid symptoms and poor nutrition. Prior to December 2018 NET (Neuroendocrine Tumor) and cardiac teams were working in isolation, this resulted in missed opportunities for intervention and comprehensive review. It was evident we needed to build closer collaborations with our cardiac colleagues, to ensure timely assessment, optimisation of symptoms and improve patients’ overall experience. The Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) were fundamental in establishing a twice monthly CHD/NET multidisciplinary team meeting and monthly joint NET/CHD clinic. Patients were kept informed at each stage by the CNS, either during telephone consultation, ward visit or at clinic appointments.
