#4645 Radio-guided surgery in use for treatment of early relapse in small intestine neuroendocrine tumours

Introduction: Surgery is the only definitive therapy for neuroendocrine tumours (NET). In number of small intestine NET first symptom is ileus or perforation, lifesaving surgical procedures applied. Such cases have significant risk of recurrence.

#3878 Accuracy of intra-operative beta probe in GEP-NET patients – Preliminary data from a prospective study

Introduction: An accurate identification of GEP-NENs localization is crucial to achieve radical surgery. Radio guided surgery (RGS) is considered an innovative and promising surgical procedures that could help to identify smallest lesions.

#3677 Myelophthisis as an end-stage outcome of rare metastases in neuroendocrine tumors – A dual case report

Introduction: Intra-abdominal Neuroendocrine Tumors (NETs) usually metastasize to regional lymph nodes, liver, and bone. Myelophthisis (MPT) is the destruction of the medullary microenvironment due to the tumoral invasion of the trabecular space, altering normal hematopoiesis; it’s frequently caused by metastasis of breast, prostate, and lung adenocarcinomas, and neuroblastoma. MPT due to NET is an unrecognized phenomenon with few cases reported, almost exclusively in poorly differentiated NETs.

#3454 Thymic neuroendocrine tumors: Case series from a Colombian hospital reference

Introduction: Thymic neuroendocrine tumors (tNET) are extremely rare, with a wide range of clinical manifestations, which can lead to underdiagnosis. Specific therapies have not been evaluated to improve survival.

#3438 Risk factors for complications after surgery for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors

Introduction: Surgical resection is the only potentially curative treatment for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNETs). The choice for the type of procedure is influenced by the expected oncological benefit and the anticipated risk of procedure-specific complications.
