#3425 Diagnostic role and prognostic value of tumor markers in high-grade GEP-NENs

Introduction: High-grade gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP-NENs) can be divided into well differentiated neuroendocrine tumors G3 (NETs G3) and poorly differentiated neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs). Diagnostic and prognosis value of tumor markers in this entity still remains unknown.

#3380 Dose selection for paltusotine, a once daily oral nonpeptide, somatostatin receptor 2 ligand, for the treatment of patients with Carcinoid Syndrome (CS)

Introduction: Long-acting somatostatin receptor ligands (LA-SRLs) are first line therapy for neuroendocrine tumor (NET) syndromes including acromegaly and the carcinoid syndrome (CS). In acromegaly, two phase 2 studies (NCT 03789656 and 03792555) suggested that patients injected with SRLs can switch to once daily orally bioavailable paltusotine (CRN00808), a nonpeptide, small molecule, somatostatin type 2 (SST2) receptor ligand (SRL), while maintaining stable serum IGF-1 levels. However, CS patients may require higher doses of an orally administered drug due to maldigestion commonly associated with the syndrome or its treatment and the pharmacokinetics (clearance and volume of distribution) of paltusotine may differ between CS and acromegaly because of differences in metabolic capacity of the liver and body composition.

#3103 Comparison of 18F-DOPA versus 68Ga-DOTA-TOC as preferred PET imaging tracer in well-differentiated neuroendocrine neoplasms

Introduction: 18F-DOPA and 68Ga-DOTA-TOC are two diagnostic PET tracers used in neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs). As both tracers utilise different metabolic pathways, lesion detection results often show disparities, but comparative studies are lacking.

#2279 Expression of FOXM1 in G3 Neuroendocrine Tumors (NET G3) and G3 Neuroendocrine Carcinomas (NEC G3) of the Pancreas and the Intestine

Introduction: G3 gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (G3 NET) and carcinomas (G3 NEC) differ considerably concerning their biological behavior and patients outcome. Whereas the WHO2017 classification for pancreatic NETs proposes a distinction of both groups using the Ki-67 proliferation marker (Klöppel et al. Reviews and Reports 2017), a useful marker for the subclassification of G3 intestinal NETs have not been recommended until now.
