Introduction: Stromal Immune Contexture (SIC) helps predict prognosis in solid Tumors (T) but has been poorly investigated in gastro-entero-pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP-NENs). We tested whether GEP-NENs profiling for adaptive immunity-related SIC markers, as well as inflammatory (COX2),EMT [Beta-catenin (B-cat)] and oncogenic pathway signaling (pS6) markers, could improve Ki67 and/or MO-based prediction of OS and DFS.

Introduction: In pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (pNENs), size ≤20 mm and Ki-67 ≤2% suggest indolent behavior, but no factor alone can predict prognosis.

Introduction: Gastroenteropancreatic (GEP) neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) are divided into different prognostic categories according to Ki67 class (≤2%: 2%-20%; 20%-55%; >55%); treatment strategies based on this classification are not fully effective.

#1753 Ki67 Is Able to Predict Pancreatic NENs Prognosis Irrespective of Their Size
Introduction: In pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (pNENs), size <20mm and Ki67≤2% suggest indolent behavior. None of these factors alone predicts prognosis. No other predictive factors have been suggested.

#1451 Pancreatic NENs <2 cm Could Represent a New Entity Worth of Further Investigation
Introduction: Surgical approach to the treatment of well-differentiated pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (pNENs) is based on tumor size and Ki67. Surgical removal is not recommended for tumors <2cm, due to their indolent nature. Ki67≤2% and size <2cm are considered indicative of benign tumors. However, size and Ki67 may not correctly predict the prognosis of patients with pNENs <2cm.
