#4423 Exploring decorin in plasma-derived small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) as a potential diagnostic biomarker for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours

Introduction: Pancreatic Neuroendocrine tumours (PanNETs), the most common site for GEP‑NENs in Asian countries, particularly India, have shown increasing incidence. Due to a lack of specific biomarkers, often detected at advanced stages. So, this study utilised PanNET tissue proteomics for cancer biomarker discovery and explored the impact of small extracellular cellular vesicles (sEVs) in PanNET growth and metastasis, as they reflect the molecular profile of their tissue of origin.

#4406 Fluorescence labelled plasma derived small extracellular vesicle as biomarkers in metastatic pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour patients

Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (PanNET) are rare with increased annual incidence rate 1/lac. There are no specific biomarkers, diagnostic and prognostic tests available for PanNET. The small extracellular vesicles (sEV) play a key role in tumour growth and metastasis and can be a potential biomarker for metastasis of PanNET.

Introduction: Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (NENs) are heterogeneous neoplasms, whose metastatic potential is challenging to predict. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have been described as mediators of communication between the tumor cells and their microenvironment, driving the formation of metastatic niches.

#4227 Evaluation of circulating extracellular vesicles as suitable prognostic markers in MEN1-associated non-functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasia

Introduction: Non-functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasias (NF-pNENs) significantly contribute to premature death of multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN1) patients. Reliable prognostic markers for disease progression are lacking. Circulating liquid biomarkers, including microRNAs and Long-non-Coding (LnC) RNAs in extracellular vesicles, are emerging as new prognostic tools.

#3974 Small extracellular vesicles miR-183-5p derived from highly invasive pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors reprogram macrophages towards SPP1+ macrophages

Introduction: Highly-metastatic (HM) pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNETs) are characterized by an early occurrence of lymph node and liver metastases and a poor prognosis. Single-cell sequencing analysis showed that HM pNETs had remarkable infiltration of SPP1+ macrophages, which were involved in cell migration, angiogenesis and small extracellular vesicles (sEVs).
