#4131 Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) in patients with neuroendocrine neoplasms: A prospective multi-site study evaluating quality of life and objective response

Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are associated with poor health-related quality of life (HRQOL) due to tumor and hormonal related symptoms and treatment-related toxicity. Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) delivers targeted therapy for tumor and hormonal control.

#4033 Routine early 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT has low diagnostic yield after resection of pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms

Introduction: Following resection of primary pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasm (P-NEN), the reported median disease free survival is ≥4y. 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT (DOTA-PET) is widely used for restaging following surgical resection of P-NEN due to a higher sensitivity compared to cross-sectional imaging. We hypothesized that early DOTA-PET has a low yield in detecting recurrent/residual or distant disease in patients following curative-intent surgical resection of non-metastatic localised P-NEN.

#3680 18F-FMISO PET in metastatic neuroendocrine neoplasms – A pilot study

Introduction: The phenomenon of peripheral 68Ga-DOTATATE avidity without central avidity (a so-called “donut") has been observed in neuroendocrine neoplasm (NEN) lesions. There has been speculation as to whether this region of non-avidity reflects hypoxia, de-differentiated disease or other causes. The presence of hypoxia has significant prognostic and therapeutic implications, and was evaluated in these lesions using 18F-FMISO PET/CT.

#3578 Optimal PLAnning of treatment and research of Neuroendocrine Tumors (NETs) in Australia: The PLANET registry and patient reported outcomes via PLANET App

Introduction: Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (NENs) are challenging to diagnose and manage due to their varied behaviour. Despite usually having an indolent course, they are often metastatic at diagnosis and can be associated with significant long-term morbidity and impaired quality-of-life (QOL). The PLANET registry was established to collate clinical data from tertiary NET centres and integrate these with real-time patient reported outcomes (PROs) enabled by the smartphone-based PLANET App.

#3174 Utility and timing of Technetium-99m-diethylene-triamine-penta-acetic acid measurement of glomerular filtration rate in patients undergoing peptide receptor radionuclide therapy

Introduction: Renal toxicity is a potential side effect of Lutetium-177 Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (177Lu-PRRT). Some centres use serial Technetium-99m-diethylene-triaminepentaacetic acid (99mTc-DTPA) glomerular filtration rate (GFR) measurements to detect early renal toxicity, but there is no consensus regarding the timing of serial scans nor its utility.
