#4239 Implementation of a new, nurse-led clinic (NLC) for neuroendocrine tumor (NET) patients
Introduction: There is international evidence supporting nurse-led services for people with chronic diseases in reducing hospitalisations, symptom improvement and lifestyle, and patient satisfaction. Patients with NET often have high symptoms burden and psychosocial distress in the context of indolent disease. Our centre recently implemented a (NLC) to provide complex care support for patients with NET.

Introduction: Sarcopenia is defined as the loss of muscle mass, strength, and physical performance. First-line therapy for NENs includes somatostatin analogues (SSAs), which could be responsible for malabsorption conditions (e.g. exocrine pancreatic insufficiency - EPI), that can affect clinical outcomes and treatment response. However, the relationship between sarcopenia and NENs is still lacking in the literature.

Introduction: Several guidelines have given recommendations for optimal use of biomarkers and molecular imaging. However, those guidelines’ implementation may not be always possible due to local policies or lack of access to several diagnostic studies.
