#3080 Impact of Multimodal Perioperative Treatment in Patients with Resected Non-Metastatic Grade 3 Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (NEN G3)

Introduction: Patients with grade 3 neuroendocrine neoplasm (NEN G3) have a limited prognosis. Even in a non-metastatic stage, the risk of recurrence after surgery is high. Multimodal perioperative treatment, including chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy in an adjuvant or neoadjuvant setting, has improved the prognosis in numerous tumor entities; however, it has not been systematically evaluated in NEN G3 so far. Nevertheless, perioperative chemotherapy is generally recommended in most current treatment guidelines for NEN G3.

#3046 Incidence of Neuroendocrine Neoplasms Reported in England 2015-2017

Introduction: Previously published UK Cancer Registry data showed incidence of Neuroendocrine Neoplasms rising between 2001 and 2015. This was higher than had been thought (Genus et al). We report more recent data with more accurate coding (ICD-O-3).

#2870 When It Comes to the Diagnostic of Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (NEN), Not All Markers and Clones Were Made Equal. Assessment of 5 Makers in 466 NEN from 10 Anatomical Sites

Introduction: Histological diagnostic of neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) relies on morphological criteria and expression of several neuroendocrine marker assessed by immunohistochemistry. Systematic large evaluation of classical (chromogranin A (chrA), synaptophysin (Syn), CD56) and emerging (chromogranin B (chrB), INSM1) markers are lacking.

#2764 Cystic Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors. Can We Diagnose Them Preoperatively?

Introduction: Pancreatic neueroendocrine tumors rarely undergo cystic changes but they are often misdiagnosed as pancreatic mucinous cystadenoma, mucinous cystadenocarcinoma, serous cystadenoma, and solid and cystic papillary tumors, or pseudocyst.

#2260 Carcinoid Heart Failure in a Metastatic Duodenal Neuroendocrine Tumor: A Challenging Case Report.

Introduction: Carcinoid heart disease (CHD) is a potenzial fatal cardiac manifestation, characterized by fibrous endocardial thickening involving right-sided heart valves. In 70% of cases, CHD occurs in advanced small bowel NETs with carcinoid syndrome (CS). Serotonin seems to play a main role. Early recognition and surgical intervention may improve the outcome of patients.

Abstract Submissions in 2022

Abstract submissions for 2022 will open in September 2021!

The 19th Annual ENETS Conference in 2022 will provide the principal platform for NET researchers around the world to present their latest findings. ENETS will select the best abstracts submitted in both clinical and basic science and present these in sessions within the framework of its scientific programme.

Participants of the ENETS Virtual Conference 2021 can now access the abstract booklet, e-posters and videos, the poster carousel, and more via My ENETS.
