Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) are heterogeneous malignancies that arise from the diffuse neuroendocrine system. Its incidence has increased in the last 3 decades. They have a relatively indolent growth rate and are capable of secreting peptide hormones and biogenic amines.

Introduction: SiNENs are complex tumours with unique behaviour. Despite 30 years of progress, limited data and diagnostic challenges hinder understanding, complicating assessment of their biology and outcomes.

Introduction: Patients with unresectable NENs are offered a variety of non-curable therapeutic options, which eventually fail due to drug resistance (DR). Increasing evidence suggest an anticancer trait of cannabinoids, via cellular pathways including mTOR, known to be associated with DR development. Still, limited data exist on the anti-cancer effects of cannabinoids in NENs.
