#4046 A single institution experience of clinic-molecular characterisation and correlation with treatment outcomes in patients with advanced extrapulmonary high grade neuroendocrine carcinomas: The NIRVANA study

Introduction: The gene mutation profiles of extra-pulmonary (EP) neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs) and mixed neuroendocrine / non-neuroendocrine carcinomas (MiNENs) are incompletely understood.

Presenting Author: Spada F

Authors: Spada F, Pisa E, Ranghiero A, Frassoni S, Bagnardi V,

Keywords: NEC, MiNEN, NGS, KRAS, TP53, MSI, extra-pulmonary,

#4026 Neuroendocrine tumors in the stomach: An epidemiological analysis of Belgian Cancer Registry data

Introduction: GEP-NEN are rare and heterogeneous tumors including NET, NEC and MiNEN. NET are classified based on mitotic activity and Ki-67 index (G1, 2 and 3), NEC are always high grade (G3). Gastric NEN should be clinically subtyped as this has therapeutic implications (type 1, 2 and 3).

#3887 Characteristics and management of high grade gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms – A Belgian retrospective analysis from the DNET & NETwerk registry

Introduction: High grade gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (HG-GEPNEN) comprise neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) and well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors (NETG3). These entities exhibit many differences in behaviour, prognosis and sensitivity to chemotherapy. Data about their optimal management are still scarce.

#3762 Cabozantinib in high grade neuroendocrine neoplasms – Interim results from a Phase II trial

Introduction: Patients with high grade neuroendocrine neoplasms (HG-NENs) have limited treatment options. Cabozantinib, a multi kinase inhibitor can affect tumor growth and metastasis.

#3603 Genetic tumor and blood profiling in the randomised controlled phase III COMPOSE trial comparing 177Lu-edotreotide and best standard of care for well-differentiated aggressive grade 2/3 gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors

Introduction: COMPOSE is a randomised, controlled, open-label, Phase III trial in patients with well-differentiated aggressive G2/G3 (Ki-67 index 15−55%), somatostatin receptor positive gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs). 177Lu-edotreotide targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) will be compared with best standard of care (CAPTEM, FOLFOX or everolimus). Therapeutic strategies for high grade GEP-NETs demonstrate variable outcomes and currently there is a lack of tools to predict TRT efficacy and disease progression. Genetic profiling analysis is proposed to address this need.
