#4222 Quali-NET: A prospective study on patient-reported quality of life in neuroendocrine neoplasms
Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms of the lung (LNEN) or gastro-enteropancreatic tract (GEPNEN) are typically slow-growing, leading to longer overall survival, and resembling chronic illnesses. Therefore, focus on quality of life (QoL) is crucial. While brief studies have been done, comprehensive, long-term studies are needed.

Introduction: In the 2021 World Health Organization (WHO) classification of lung cancers, lung neuroendocrine neoplasms (LNENs) are classified as low-grade, intermediate-grade and high-grade based on mitotic count but not Ki-67 index, as for GEP-NENs.

#3235 A molecular map of lung neuroendocrine neoplasms
Introduction: Lung neuroendocrine neoplasms (LNEN) are understudied cancers because of their rarity, and the sample sizes of the genomic studies are limited. Recently, we performed the first multi-omic characterization of atypical carcinoids, unveiling the existence of the supra-carcinoids and providing the missing pieces for a complete molecular characterization of LNEN.

Introduction: Atypical carcinoid and small cell lung cancer (SCLC) are currently incurable. There is thus a critical need for new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for lung neuroendocrine neoplasms (LNEN). Chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4), a G protein coupled receptor and theranostic target, plays a crucial role in metastases of LNEN. We hypothesize combination of thioredoxin reductase (TR) inhibitor represents a metabolic strategy to enhance cytotoxicity in peptide-receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) of LNEN.
