#3017 Patient and Healthcare Practitioner Perspectives of Somatostatin Analogs in the Management of Neuroendocrine Tumors and Acromegaly: A Systematic Literature Review

Introduction: Somatostatin analogs (SSAs) are used to treat acromegaly and neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Two first-generation SSAs, octreotide and lanreotide, are available to patients (pts).

#2932 Evaluation of Nurse Preferences between the Lanreotide Autogel New Syringe and Octreotide Long-Acting Release Syringe: An International Simulated Use Study (PRESTO)

Introduction: A new lanreotide autogel/depot (LAN) syringe was developed based on feedback from a human factors study to improve user experience.

#2296 First Patient Survey about Tumor - Associated Fatigue in NEN

Introduction: Tumor-associated fatigue (TrF) is a debilitating condition occurring during the course of the tumor disease, and even ongoing after all tumor specific therapies are completed. The syndrome consists of chronic fatigue, sleep disturbances, severe pain, brain-fog and is underestimated by both, patients and doctors. Diagnosis is made according to the criteria by Cella (Cella 2001), although it is felt not to be sufficient.

#2205 Analysis of MET and RET Expression in Patients with Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors Receiving Everolimus

Introduction: Target therapy has improved the outcome of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), but little is known about the strategies to overcome the acquired resistance. MET is considered one of the putative mechanisms of resistance. RET is also rearranged in some other endocrine tumors (like thyroid).

#1856 Relationship Between Symptoms and HRQoL Benefits in Patients (pts) with Carcinoid Syndrome (CS): A Post-Hoc Analysis of Telotristat Ethyl (TE) TELESTAR Trial

Introduction: TELESTAR previously demonstrated the efficacy and safety of TE in pts with CS experiencing >4 Bowel Movements (BM) per day despite stable-dose somatostatin analog therapy. Significantly higher rates of Durable Response (DR, predefined as Bowel Movement (BM) frequency reduction ≥30% from baseline for ≥50% of the 12 week double blind period) were observed with TE (TE 250mg: 44%, TE 500mg: 42%) vs placebo (20%).
