Introduction: Radical surgery is the best and effective option for resectable pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (pNET) patients. However, lymphadenectomy in pNET surgery remains controversial, especially for small tumors.

Authors: Wang F, Jing D, Zhou C, Qin Y, Chen J,
Keywords: Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor, Lymph node metastasis, Lymph node dissection, Metastasis rate, Lymph node,
Introduction: Many cancers have been associated with environmental factors but these remain unexplored for NEN. Travel to and from a CoE can be a significant burden to patients. There is evidence that this impacts on treatment outcomes and survival in other cancers.
Conference:

Keywords: neuroendocrine, access to care, neuroendocrine neoplasm, incidence, geospatial, mapping, geographic, survival, environmental factors,
Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are a subgroup of poorly characterized rare tumors with challenging management. Identification of clinically useful biomarkers for treatment tailoring is urgently needed.
Conference:

Keywords: NGS, zebrafish, autologous scaffold, molecular determinants,
Introduction: Histology-based grading of pulmonary carcinoids (PC) is problematic and subject to high interobserver variation. Orthopedia homeobox (OTP) has shown to be an excellent prognostic marker for PCs, also indicated by the WHO. However, absence of a reliable routinely applicable monoclonal OTP antibody (mAb) hampers implementation in routine diagnostics.

Keywords: Orthopedia Homeobox, pulmonary carcinoid, monoclonal antibody, clinical diagnostics,
Introduction: Non-functional pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PanNETs) are heterogeneous with at least two transcriptome subtypes with differential biology, immune mechanisms and prognosis. However, it is challenging to understand how multimodal data interact with clinical variables and contribute to the disease heterogeneity and phenotypes.
