#4570 Diagnosis of carcinoid heart disease continues to be late delayed
Introduction: Carcinoid heart disease (CHD) is a serious complication of neuroendocrine tumours. It affects patients with carcinoid syndrome and results from fibrotic deposits on the heart valves. It significantly impacts patient prognosis.

Authors: Sharma J, Shah T, Coldham C, Vickrage S, Rehman Z,
Keywords: carcinoid syndrome, neuroendocrine tumour, carcinoid heart disease, symptoms, presentation, echocardiogram, heart valves,
Introduction: The biology of neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs) remains largely unknown, limiting the use of biomarkers for patient stratification and therapy response prediction in clinical practice.
Conference:

Authors: Liverani C, Sgolacchia F, Bongiovanni A, Calabrese C, Vanni S,
Keywords: biomarker, miRNAs, neuroendocrine carcinoma,
Introduction: HG-GEP-NEN are classified into neuroendocrine tumours grade 3 (NET G3) and neuroendocrine carcinomas (NEC). This distinction is crucial as it affects patient prognosis and treatments but can be challenging.
Conference:
Presenting Author: Tihy M
Authors: Tihy M, Solstad O, Oudijk L, Bräutigam K, Bani M,
Keywords: HG-GEP-NEN, neuroendocrine neoplasm, NEC, NET G3, Classification, Review, criteria, diagnosis, pathology,
Introduction: Current clinical trials have shown that single-targeted matrix administration does not improve patient prognosis. The investigation of targeted matrix administration in combination with other therapies is crucial for effectively managing TSR in pNETs.

Introduction: The Pan-NENs show high heterogeneity, and traditional classification cannot accurately predict tumor biological behavior and patient prognosis.
