#4382 Sensitivity of endoscopic ultrasound in detecting small gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumours

Introduction: Small gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumours (GI-NETs) are often difficult to detect using conventional imaging modalities, leading to delayed diagnosis and suboptimal treatment outcomes. Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) has emerged as a promising tool for the early detection and precise localisation of these tumours. However, its sensitivity in identifying small lesions remains to be thoroughly evaluated.

#4292 Predictors based on the radiologic characteristics for aggressiveness of small (<20 mm) non-functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours

Introduction: The management of small non-functioning PNETs remains controversial due to their heterogeneity. Results from some retrospective surgical reports found that a subset of small NF-PNETs may show aggressive behaviour, for which surgical resection is recommended.

#3976 Radiologic tumor border status can further stratify patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor

Introduction: Recently, pattern-based classifications of the tumor border of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (PanNET) have been attempted by independent groups for patient stratification, which are only available in the post-operative setting.

#3942 A nomogram to preoperatively predict the aggressiveness of non-functional pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors based on CT features

Introduction: Most NF-pNETs are diagnosed incidentally, it’s a challenge for clinicians to choose between invasive management, which means oncologic resection, and conservative management. Preoperatively predicting the aggressiveness of NF-pNETs could guide clinicians to make individualized management decisions.

#3714 CT derived body composition index analysis in metastatic NET patients treated with mTOR inhibitor

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are rare neoplasms frequently characterized by an upregulation of the mammalian rapamycin targeting (mTOR) pathway resulting in uncontrolled cell proliferation. The mTOR pathway is also involved in skeletal muscle protein synthesis and in adipose tissue metabolism. Everolimus inhibits the mTOR pathway, resulting in blockade of cell growth and tumor progression.
