Introduction: Conservatively,the incidence of NETs is 7 / 000' p.a, however,the prevalence of patients living with NETs is higher,40/000',making it the 2nd most common GI malignancy after colorectal cancer.Patients are living longer,however,with impaired quality of life.Management of debilitating symptoms such as diarrhoea,fatigue,anxiety,and flushing are complex and heterogenous.

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors (pNETs) are the second most common neoplasm. Most of the pNETs are diagnosed at later stages among those patients who are underprivileged. The diagnosis and treatment of neuroendocrine tumor is a continuous emotional distress for both patient and their family.

#2032 Current Educational Strategies Used by Nurses Caring for NET Patients: Electronic Survey across 25 Countries

Introduction: The ENETS Nurse Group performed a short pilot survey in 2015 to locate nurses who take care of NET patients and to explore NET nurse education needs. The results of this survey were used to design a more detailed electronic survey.

#2028 Education and Preparation for Nuclear Medicine Procedures in Neuroendocrine Tumor Patients

Introduction: In 2007, a coalition of health care organizations formed around the a unified goal of improving imaging safety and quality for adults (Image Wisely) and children (Image Gently). In 2008, the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNMMI) joined this coalition, embracing its role in providing outreach to the patient community. The Society has created an annual patient program to reach patients and caregivers, and is continually seeking input from the patient community to improve the program and other online educational resources.
