Introduction: To date chemotherapeutic concepts applying cisplatin/etoposide for the treatment of highly aggressive GEP-NEC do not provide convincing results. Thus, there is an urgent need for NEC cell line models that provide a reliable experimental system in identifying novel therapeutic targets.

#1180 A Novel Human Cell Line from Familial Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma
Introduction: Cell lines from hereditary medullary thyroid carcinomas (MTC) are very rare, therefore, there is a substantial need to establish new cell lines. Here, we present a novel familial MTC (FMTC) cell line, designated SCHWE.

#856 DAXX and ATRX Loss Defines Chromosomal Instability and Poor Outcome in Pancreatic NET
Introduction: Chromosomal Instability (CIN) has been reported in pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNETs) with poor outcome. However, no specific genetic background has been associated with CIN. Whole exome sequencing revealed mutations in DAXX (Death domain associated protein gene) and ATRX (ATR-X gene) in 40% of pNETs. DAXX and ATRX mutations in pNETs are associated with Alternative Lengthening of Telomeres (ALT) activation.

Introduction: ES/pPNET primary to the ileocecal region (IpPNET) have been rarely reported on and show close similarities in histology and clinical presentation with small round blue cell tumors. The EWS gene is fused to four members of the ETS family.
