#2929 Type III Gastric Neuroendocrine Neoplasms: Is Local Excision Sufficient in Selected Cases?

Introduction: As per ENETS Guidelines, patients with type III gastric neuroendocrine neoplasms (t-III g-NEN), need to undergo partial or total gastrectomy. Data for less-extensive resections are limited.

Conference: 17th Annual ENETSConcerence (2020)

#2782 Clinical Efficacy of Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy in Patients with Neuroendocrine Neoplasm

Introduction: Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) is an established treatment of metastatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) with positive effects on both progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). Only a few previous studies have investigated the effect of a second series and hence a retreatment with PRRT.

#2284 The Association between Gastrin and Glucose Serum Concentration in Hypergastrinemic Patients with Gastric Neuroendocrine Tumors Type 1 and ECL-Cells Hyperplasia

Introduction: There is previous data demonstrating that elevated gastrin levels could exert some effect potentiating the glucose-induced insulin secretion.

#1880 Dedifferentiation of Metastatic Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms

Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) exhibit significant differences in growth behavior. Their metastatic disease may dedifferentiate presenting a more aggressive biological behavior

#1572 Study of the Biological Significance of the IGF-IEc (MGF) in Well and Poorly Differentiated Neuroendocrine Neoplasms

Introduction: Insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) has a key role in cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, and survival. Different IGF-I mRNA transcripts, such as IGF-IEc (mechano growth factor, MGF), are produced by alternative splicing. MGF has been implicated in muscle regeneration process as well as in the pathophysiology of various types of cancer.
