#4324 The diagnostic and prognostic value of 68Ga-DOTANOC and 18F-FDG PET/CT for thymic carcinoids
Introduction: Thymic carcinoid (ThC) is an extremely rare type of neuroendocrine tumour. There is insufficient evidence to evaluate ThC using 68Ga-DOTANOC and 18F-FDG PET/CT.

Introduction: Appendiceal goblet cell carcinomas (aGCC) present with overlapping features of appendiceal neuroendocrine neoplasms (ANET) and adenocarcinomas. A previous study found that ANET with peritoneal metastases have a 5-year survival rate of 7%. Recent studies show that ANET rarely metastasizes, contrary to aGCC. The latest WHO classification excluded aGCC from the group of NETs and classified it as appendiceal adenocarcinomas.

Introduction: Lung neuroendocrine tumors (LNETs) are subdivided into low-grade (typical) and intermediate-grade (atypical) carcinoids, at higher risk of developing metastases. We have previously identified 3 LNETs molecular groups with different prognoses, as well as “supra-carcinoids” with molecular profiles of higher-grade neuroendocrine carcinomas. Despite promising results, there is still no consensus on their differential diagnosis and treatment and little is known about how some tumors evolve toward more aggressive phenotypes.

#3642 GP-patient interactions and coding of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) in primary care records
Introduction: Diagnostic delays in NETs are common with improved diagnosis times recently shown in Wales. Although studies have explored GP visits, these are based on patient surveys with recall bias and no exploration of GP coded data.

#3536 Comparison of drug sensitivity profiles of various NEN spheroids
Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are rare cancers that arise from neuroendocrine cells. NENs are classified as well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) and poorly differentiated neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs). Small bowel and pancreatic NETs (SBNET & PNETs) are generally slow-growing but commonly metastasize to the liver and become aggressive cancers. Little is known about the drug sensitivity profile of these 3 NENs due to the lack of cellular and animal models of these malignancies. Recently, we have developed a protocol to culture NEN cells from patient tumors as patient-derived spheroids (PDS) and showed expression of NEN markers. The rarity and slow growing features of these spheroids have been hindering drug screens with many compounds.
