#4439 Survival of 10,418 lung neuroendocrine tumours after surgical resection: Who needs follow-up and for how long?

Introduction: Surgical resection is the primary treatment for lung neuroendocrine tumours (NETs). The optimal follow-up period is debated in these patients.

Conference:

Presenting Author: El Asmar M

Authors: El Asmar M, Mortagy M, Chandrakumaran K, Ramage J,

Keywords: Lung, Neuroendocrine tumour, survival, surgery, follow-up period,

#3399 Prognostic factors in lung neuroendocrine neoplasms: The role of bone metastases

Introduction: Lung neuroendocrine neoplasms (L-NEN) are heterogeneous tumors with variable biological behaviour. Bone metastases (BM) may have a prognostic impact and treatment is debated.

Conference:

Presenting Author: Modica R

Authors: Modica R, Benevento E, Altieri B, Minotta R, Liccardi A,

Keywords: lung NEN, bone metastasis, atypical carcinoid, typical carcinoid,

#3367 Integrating Saffron’s Metabolomics on Neuroblastoma Treatment

Introduction: Crocus sativus (saffron) is endowed with anticancer, antioxidant and genoprotective properties. Its pharmacological properties are attributed to the hydrophilic carotenoids crocins (CRCs), which are glycosy-esters of crocetin (CRT). The hemisynthetic derivate dimethylcrocetin (DMCRT) is similar to CRT.

#3044 Efficacy of Alkylating Agent Re-challenge after Therapeutic Pause in Metastatic Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors (PanNET)

Introduction: Temozolomide (TMZ) and dacarbazine (DTIC) are alkylating agents (ALK) with antitumor efficacy in metastatic PanNET. Rechallenging ALK following prior efficacy is commonly performed but has not been evaluated.

#3005 Comparison between Tang and WHO 5th Edition Grade Classification for Goblet Cell Adenocarcinomas

Introduction: Appendiceal GCAs (previously Goblet Cell Carcinoids) are composed of cells with secretory phenotypes. Several grading systems to predict behaviour are available (e.g.Tang). The latest WHO 5th edition adopted a grading system similar to colon adenocarcinomas.
