#3684 Clinical and epidemiological features of intestinal neuroendocrine neoplasms – A hospital-based multicenter retrospective study in China and the SEER database

Introduction: Intestinal NENs(I-NENs) are neuroendocrine neoplasms in the small intestine, colon, and rectum. I-NENs can be divided into well-differentiated intestinal neuroendocrine tumors (I-NETs) and poorly differentiated intestinal neuroendocrine carcinomas(I-NECs). Long-term clinical epidemiological studies on large samples of I-NENs are rare because I-NENs are rare tumors.

#3552 Fatigue and quality of life in patients with neuroendocrine neoplasia

Introduction: Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (NEN) are rare tumors and health related quality of life (HRQoL) may be modulated by the disease and the accompanying carcinoid syndrome seen especially in small intestinal NENs. Further, cancer related fatigue is one of the most common side effects of cancer and its treatments and may persist for years after treatment completion.

#2068 Durvalumab plus Tremelimumab for the Treatment of Patients (pts) with Advanced Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (NENs) of Lung or Gastroenteropancreatic (GEP) Origin. A Phase II Multicohort Trial (DUNE Trial / GETNE 1601)

Introduction: Immuno check-point inhibitors development in grade 1-2 NENs is limited by low mutation tumor load and PD-1/PDL-1 expression. The combination of an PDL-1 and CTLA-4 inhibitors could increase the probability of success in this setting. In high grade NENs the rational for immunotherapy is stronger based on experiences in small cell lung cancer.

#1666 Prognosis and Incidence in Pancreatic and Gastrointestinal Neuroendocrine Neoplasms with Emphasis on “NET G3”: An Analysis of 198 Cases from Japan

Introduction: Prognostic impact of well differentiated pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (PanNENs) with a Ki67 >20%, provisionally called NET G3, needs to be validated and compared to poorly differentiated neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs). Moreover, the frequency of NET G3 among gastrointestinal NENs (GI-NENs) has so far not been studied.

#1323 Expression of Oncofetal Protein IMP3 in Lymph Node Metastases of Small Intestine Neuroendocrine Neoplasms: A New Predictor of Recurrence

Introduction: Small intestine neuroendocrine neoplasm (SINENs) are heterogeneous neoplasms arising from endocrine cells of the intestinal mucosa. Ki67 is the main determinant of prognosis in NENs. However, the research for new prognostic makers represent a key-point. The oncofetal protein IMP3 plays a role in cell growth and its expression has a prognostic value in lung neoplasms.
